Joe Schember graduated from RIT’s School of Print Media in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Media Publishing. While at RIT he was active in many student organizations such as TAGA, PUB, and the varsity tennis team. He was also named an Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar while graduating with highest honors.

Upon graduation, he accepted an exciting position with Canon U.S.A., Inc. located on Long Island, NY. Serving as a Marketing Associate Specialist in the Production Systems Division at Canon, Joe’s main responsibility focuses on support of the imagePRESS^® C7000VP series of digital presses. He enjoys his multi-faceted role in the company as he serves as sales support to the field while working closely with product planning on programs to enhance the visibility and competitiveness of the imagePRESS products. The opportunity to work for a manufacturer allows him to keep pace with and be a part of the changing technology in the industry.

Joe’s success is largely due to the preparation he received at RIT. Through the relevant and informative classes he selected, he was able to grow his knowledge of the print industry and gain practical experience that has become invaluable. He would encourage students to take advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities that RIT has to offer students in the printing program.

Joe is excited and anticipating a long, challenging career in the printing industry.
