What we are about…
SPMetc is a website designed to connect prospective and current students, staff/faculty, and alumni with what is going on in the SPM. We hope from our site, you can preview our organizations, guest speakers and presentations, and activities that go on here at RIT. The staff members are all involved with various organizations and groups, hoping to give you an inside look at the School of Print Media. Editor-in-Chief: Elli Vandegrift
Elli Vandegrift is a third year student at RIT, majoring in New Media Publishing. This is her third year working as Editor-in-Chief. She is also the 2009-2010 Treasurer of TAGA, a member of the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi, and is involved in other organizations within the School of Print Media. Elli plans on entering graduate school in either marketing or advertising when she completes her degree at RIT.
Web-Developer: Alex Mouganis
Alex Mouganis is a fourth year Graphic Media Major and has been the web-developer for SPMetc for over a year. His professional interests include content management systems, variable data publishing, and both operational and project management. He is also the student president of the RIT student chapter of Technical Association for the Graphic Arts (TAGA). When Alex isn’t tied up with school, photography work and side web-development, he can be found performing and writing guitar and vocals.
Author: Sean Conklin
Sean Conklin is a third year New Media Publishing and Cultural Resource Studies double major student at RIT. Sean is the President of PUB, member of the Leadership Institute and Community Service Center, member of the Allen Chapel Choir, and a pending member of the honor society Phi Kappa Phi. Sean also works as a student researcher at RIT’s Open Publishing Lab where he concentrates on the Open Publishing Guide project. When not studying or working, Sean enjoys going to museums, watching independent films, and chatting with interesting people.

Steve Mancini is a third year student at RIT, majoring in New Media Publishing. This is his third year working with SPMetc. He is an Alumni Member of Art House and also a member of TAGA within the School of Print Media. Steve plans to study Color Management and Digital Asset Management through his next years at RIT.
Author: Adam Sampedro
Adam is a third year New Media Publishing student at RIT. He is originally from Hackensack, NJ and has been on the SPMetc staff since Spring 2008. Adam is an active member of Gamma Epsilon Tau, the national honors fraternity for the graphic arts. He currently serves as Secretary and Membership Chair of RIT’s chapter of GET. He hopes to pursue a career in the prepress or premedia fields of publishing. In his spare time, Adam enjoys traveling, camping, running, and making people smile.
Author: Zack Smith
Zack Smith is a second year New Media Publishing student at RIT. This is Zack’s first year working for SPMetc. He is also entering his second year as the Chief-of- Design for Signatures, RIT’s literary and art magazine. Zack has worked on different magazines for four years, and intends to watch that numbers grow. Zack’s hobbies are writing poetry and prose, and reading whatever he comes across.
